After spending over 20+ years in the Accounting & Finance fields as a Controller and CFO, working for global and fortune 100 companies, Carlo decided to dedicate his expertise to small to medium-sized businesses tailored accounting service that empower them to focus on their core business and help them grow.

Carlo holds an active CPA license in VA and PA and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has business and accounting experience in many professional fields such as Medical, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Food and Retail.

Carlo’s vision, which transformed into Patriots Tax & Accounting Service (PTA), is to provide these businesses a professional and affordable service model that is typically available only to larger size companies.

PTA is much more than a Bookkeeping and Tax service company. Carlo partnered with and invested in the best expertise in the market to create a one of a kind consultative approach that includes business planning and coaching, tax planning, business strategy, forecasting and budgeting.

Mary, Group Founder & Chief Business Officer

Mary is a Corporate Executive with over 20+ years in the Sales, Business Strategy, and Business Operations fields. She offers coaching services for small to medium sized businesses to maximize their revenue potential, create a healthy team culture, build the right strategy to achieve results, and learn to professionally and efficiently handle all aspects of their operations (Sales, HR, Purchasing, etc.).

Mary holds a degree in Accounting. She is also a certified Life Coach, Business Coach, Master Trainer, and Master Public Speaker. She is a world traveler providing business consulting services for companies all around the world. She spoke in many high profile events and TV shows and has worked with Conglomerates and Fortune companies in many fields such as Technology, Hospitality, Food and Retail.

Mary’s passion in life is to make a positive impact in the world, contributing to her community, and helping others reach their goals and achieve their dreams. Amongst her peers and friends, she has always been known to be the queen of solving problems and helping entrepreneurs and leaders create bridges to connect their today with their wanted potential.

Mary loves music, dining out, and traveling. She loves supporting local businesses and spending her free time with Carlo and their three kids.

Joe, Accounting Manager

Joe holds a degree in Accounting and an active CPA license. His expertise in analyzing financial details and mastery of Quickbooks products as a Certified Professional Advisor will save you time on your bookkeeping, payroll, and taxation needs.

He has an extensive accounting experience in the Manufacturing Industry serving as a former Financial Analyst of a multibillion-dollar conglomerate, and in the Real Estate Industry as a consultant specifically on Financial Feasibility Planning of huge property developer companies. As young as 25, he is already a shareholder and a former Corporate Treasurer of a global leader company in providing IT field services.

Joe has been awarded with the University’s Best Research Study in his collegiate years and Employee of the Year Award on his previous careers. With his skills, professional experience, and dedication to help our clients succeed, he strongly believes that creating good rapport while maintaining focus on integrity in following accounting best practices and principles is the key to achieve the best financial results.

Sarah, FXBG Branch Manager & Senior Tax Specialist

Sarah is a tax specialist boasting over a decade of diverse experience in customer service, hospitality, and administration. With an unwavering commitment to precision and a genuine passion for numbers, Sarah adeptly navigates the complexities of tax forms and regulations with accuracy and integrity.

Originally pursuing a career in culinary arts to become a pastry chef, Sarah discovered her true calling in hospitality and people-centric care. Transitioning into hotel management after earning her bachelor’s degree, she excelled in ensuring properties met stringent cleanliness and brand standards during audits.

As life unfolded and Sarah embraced motherhood with her husband, she redirected her career focus to customer service industries and eventually found her niche in tax preparation. Her dedication led her to achieve IRS certification as an Enrolled Agent.

Based in Fredericksburg, she shares her life with her husband and two young children.

Shabana, CPA, Senior Tax Specialist

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 15 years of experience in tax and accounting, Shabana has built a strong foundation working with multiple CPA firms and serving clients across a wide range of industries. Robert, Tax Specialist

Robert brings a unique blend of discipline, creativity, and hands-on experience to his growing tax career. Now in his second year of tax preparation, he made the shift into accounting after a successful 13-year career in the restaurant industry—six of those years spent as a chef at well-known local restaurants such as Kybecca and FoodE.

While pursuing his business degree, an accounting professor recognized his natural talent for numbers and encouraged him to explore tax preparation—opening the door to a new career path that challenged and inspired him beyond the kitchen.

With a strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy, Robert approaches every return with focus, problem-solving, and a genuine desire to help clients understand their financial picture. He is currently working toward earning his Enrolled Agent (EA) license and continuing his education to expand his expertise.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys lifting weights, hiking, cooking for family, traveling, and reading. He carries a mindset of continuous improvement in everything he does.

Anna is an experienced accounting professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting and certification as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She brings a strong background in both corporate and U.S. accounting, with proven expertise in financial reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.

Her career includes roles as a Staff Accountant with a leading global automotive company and as a Claims Analyst for a major international insurance firm, where she refined her analytical and process improvement skills. She later advanced into business accounting through her work with a global firm, providing accurate and reliable financial support to small businesses and individual clients.

Anna is known for her precision, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional service. Outside of her work, she is a dedicated mother of two, bringing the same discipline, consistency, and focus to her professional responsibilities.

Christine Compuesto is an experienced Accountant with strong expertise in auditing, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an auditor at a Big Four accounting firm, where she gained substantial experience in internal controls, regulatory compliance, and complex financial processes. This background refined her analytical skills and prepared her to build accurate, efficient accounting workflows for clients.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate and QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Christine specializes in system setup, data cleanup, workflow optimization, and ongoing bookkeeping support. She is committed to delivering precise, reliable financial insights that help business owners make well-informed decisions.

Bless is an Accounting graduate and QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor specializing in accurate bookkeeping, efficient payroll processing, and well-prepared monthly financial reports. She holds a degree in Accounting and previously worked as an External Auditor at one of the Big 4 accounting firms where she gained exposure to diverse industries.
